Mixed Reality technology in pilot training

Mixed Reality technology as a medium brings new possibilities to pilot training. Thanks to its compact size and affordability in comparison with data-projector dome-based simulators, it has the potential to remove the bottlenecks of today's training. This presentation will briefly summarize the main advantages and potential of Mixed Reality while keeping in mind its technical limitations and current challenges.

The biggest once being visual acuity of pass-through cameras, their resolution and signal-to-noise ratio. Comfort of using headset to sustain multiple hours of mission training, while avoiding vergence-accommodation conflict.
